Nebraska Nite Hawks defeat Denver Bandits 33-13 at 1st home game

On Saturday April 6th, at 7pm the Nebraska Nite Hawks officially kicked off their inaugural season at home against the Denver Bandits. The Nite Hawks started the game strong, scoring their first touch down minutes into the first quarter as Amanda Magnuson (Lincoln, NE) scored the first touch down on an interception, running 60 yards to score. Amanda had another interception for a touchdown and then caught her final touchdown pass later in the game. Nite Hawk Tiffany Wright (Arkansas City, KS) scored the last touchdown after 300 rushing yards over the course of the previous 3 quarters.


The Nite Hawks first game at Faiman Field (Bellevue West High School) gave 3 time NCAA Div 1 Champion, and former Husker, Vershan Jackson (head coach) his first win of the season.


The Nite Hawks play in the WNFC and features 11 on 11 play with NFL rules. The Nite Hawks are currently ranked 9th in the WNFC and are on the road next weekend to play the Texas Elite Spartans in Dallas, TX. The Nite hawks host their next home game on Saturday May 4th at 7pm against the Houston Heat. Tickets are $10 and available online and at the field.
